This month, the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas, near Dallas, is testing an online room service feature that's an industry first. Guests can use their laptops to access a webpage where they can place room service orders, fill out electronic comment cards, and request that a housekeeper clean their room. In future tests, the online service will also be available through the guest room's TV and remote control.
